A builder's data package usually covers the basics: one point in the lounge, one in the study. Then the family moves in and finds the home office, the teenage bedroom and the upstairs retreat all need a steady connection. We add data cable from the existing rack or modem position to wherever you need it, using the roof space between floors. With TV wall mounting, the cable disappears into the wall and a TV point and powerpoint sit behind the panel. Outdoor entertaining areas can get TV and data points too. Older homes get the same treatment, but we spend more time planning the cable path through brick or weatherboard walls and checking the antenna. Each new point is tested before we go, and we label the wall plates at the rack end so nobody has to guess later.
