Original post-war homes being renovated in Brighton East usually need a switchboard upgrade first. Tired boards and limited power do not suit modern kitchens and heating.

The original brick and weatherboard homes still standing in Brighton East usually come with the original switchboard, and it has limits. Few circuits, little protection and not much spare room. Then the renovation plans arrive: a new kitchen, ducted or split heating, perhaps an EV charger. We upgrade the board to one with circuit breakers and safety switches, labelled clearly, and with spare ways for later. If you also have gas appliances you intend to replace, we plan for the induction cooktop and heating circuits at the same time. In newer builds, the board is usually fine, but we check the layout and add spare capacity if you are adding a big load. We tell you what we found and why we are recommending what we do.
