Most Caulfield houses have a driveway and a garage, but the board behind them is often old. Our EV charger installation in Caulfield checks both before we install anything at all.

Interwar blocks are a good size, and a driveway beside the house is common, sometimes with a detached garage at the back. A charger on the garage wall is the typical answer. The question is the supply. A board with porcelain fuses or a full set of breakers cannot handle a long overnight charge, and we say that plainly. If it needs an upgrade, we do that first. We also check the cable route from the board to the garage, since a detached garage may be a good distance away and the cable needs sizing for it. In townhouse developments, parking is often shared, so approval from the body corporate comes first. Off-peak charging is the usual approach for families, with the charger scheduled to run overnight. We mount the charger at a height and position that suits your car's port and the way you park. EV charger installation in Caulfield depends on the board as much as the garage.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main ev chargers page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Caulfield.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
Probably not, without an upgrade. Fuse boards are not built for steady overnight loads. We check the board and the supply, then tell you whether it needs replacing before a charger goes in. No guesswork.
