Replacing an oven in a Caulfield home can reveal what is behind the old one. Our oven installation in Caulfield handles wall ovens and freestanding ovens, installs only.
Caulfield 3162
When an old oven slides out, the cable behind it can tell a story. In bungalows built between the wars, the oven wiring has often been altered once or twice, and the connection can be rough. We check the cable, the connection and the protection before fitting the new one. A wall oven built into joinery needs the connection in the right place. A freestanding unit needs a suitable outlet or wall plate. If the existing circuit is too light for a new oven, we recommend a new one, run from the board through the roof space. We cover benchtops and floors, tidy up and test the oven before leaving. Repairs are outside what we do, so a fault in the oven itself should go to the manufacturer. If you are renovating, tell us early so the connection is ready for the cabinet maker. Oven installation in Caulfield is only safe when the old circuit has been checked.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main ovens page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Caulfield.
Good work. Happy locals.

“Arrived within 20 minutes of me calling and explaining that half my property's powerpoints were inactive, promptly worked out and explained the issue to me, and had it completely resolved same day. High quality and clean work, could not be happier!”

Not until we have checked it. Scorched cable means heat damage, and the circuit may need replacing. We inspect the cable and the connection, then replace whatever is damaged before the new oven is connected and tested.
