Elsternwick homes
Elsternwick has some of the area's larger period homes: Victorian villas, Federation and Edwardian houses on decent blocks, along with interwar homes and flats. Newer apartment buildings cluster around Glen Huntly Road and the station. The bigger houses often have had several renovations, so we find mixed wiring, overloaded boards and old circuits feeding new extensions. Families here are adding induction kitchens, ducted heating and cooling, and garage space for an electric car, all of which need board capacity. We assess the supply as a whole, then upgrade in a sensible order rather than adding circuits to a board that is already full.
