Driveways and larger blocks make EV charger installation in Alphington more practical than in many inner suburbs. We plan the circuit, the mounting spot and the cable run.
Alphington 3078
A long driveway or a double garage gives you choices that tight inner-city lots don't. Most Alphington houses can mount a wall charger beside the car, whether that's under a carport, in a garage or on a side wall. The cable run from the board matters more than the charger. On a big block the garage might sit well back from the house, so we check the distance and whether to bring in a separate feed. Many older switchboards need upgrading first, because a charger draws steady power for hours. We install the charger on its own protected circuit and can set it to charge during off-peak hours overnight. In the newer townhouses and apartments near the old paper mill site, the body corporate normally has to approve the install, and we can supply the technical details. If a charger doesn't suit your setup, we'll say so.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main ev chargers page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Alphington.
Good work. Happy locals.

“Arrived within 20 minutes of me calling and explaining that half my property's powerpoints were inactive, promptly worked out and explained the issue to me, and had it completely resolved same day. High quality and clean work, could not be happier!”

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
It depends on the distance and the cable size, since longer runs need heavier cable to avoid voltage drop. We measure the route, size the cable properly and run it in conduit underground or overhead. We'll explain the options once we've seen the site.
