A new oven in an Alphington bungalow or townhouse needs the right wiring behind it. Our oven installation checks the circuit, makes the connection and tests the result.
Alphington 3078
Older houses on bigger blocks often have kitchens that were extended or reshuffled over the years, and the oven wiring tells the story. We sometimes find a cooker circuit that's been shared with a hot water element or a second oven, or cable that runs further than it should. When we install a new oven, we check which circuit feeds it and compare its load to the breaker. A wall oven is hardwired to a junction box in the cabinet, and we coordinate with your joiner so the connection is accessible. In newer townhouses and apartments, a standard cabinet layout usually makes it simple, and we can connect a replacement quickly and neatly. We test the connection and the safety protection afterward. Faulty appliances go back to the manufacturer's technician, because we install ovens and don't repair them.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main ovens page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Alphington.
Good work. Happy locals.

“Arrived within 20 minutes of me calling and explaining that half my property's powerpoints were inactive, promptly worked out and explained the issue to me, and had it completely resolved same day. High quality and clean work, could not be happier!”

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
Usually not. An oven should have a circuit sized for it, and sharing with other loads can overload the cable or trip the breaker. We'd trace what's on the circuit and normally recommend a dedicated one for the oven.
