Renovated kitchens in Mount Waverley's split-level homes often finish with an induction cooktop. Our induction cooktop installation includes the dedicated circuit and a proper connection.
Mount Waverley 3149
Kitchens in 1960s and 1970s Mount Waverley homes are often enclosed galleys that have been opened up into the living area, with an island or a long bench where the stove used to be. That move changes where the cooktop sits and how far the cable must travel. Because induction cooktops draw so much power, they need their own circuit from the board, and the older boards in these homes can be short of room. We look at the board first, then plan the cable route, often across the ceiling cavity or beneath the floorboards. If the benchtop is on order, get us in beforehand so the connection point is in the right spot behind the cabinets. Once the cooktop is set in, we connect it and test it. If you are replacing a gas hob, the gas disconnection is done by a licensed gas fitter.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main induction cooktops page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Mount Waverley.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ

It changes the cable route. An island often needs the cable run under the floor or through the slab, which has to be planned before the benchtop goes in. We work with your kitchen installer on the timing.
