A safety inspection often comes first, but in Malvern's older homes it leads to house rewiring. Original cable in the front, patched extensions behind: we sort it out.
Malvern 3144
A Malvern Victorian villa or Edwardian home may have wiring from its first owners in the front rooms, with each later extension adding another layer. That patchwork might be fine, or it might hide perished insulation and joins in the roof space. We inspect first, test the circuits and report what we find. Where a rewire makes sense, we plan it to suit the family. Bedrooms and bathrooms that families add near Glenferrie Road or Wattletree Road need new circuits anyway, so a rewire can be timed with that work. Heritage overlays cover many streets, so we keep visible external work discreet. We aim to leave cornices and plaster intact, using the roof space and underfloor for cable routes wherever we can. Some owners rewire in stages to spread the cost and disruption. Whatever you choose, you finish with a new board and tested circuits.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main house rewires page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Malvern.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
We inspect and test the existing wiring. If the cable is in good condition and just poorly protected, a board upgrade may be enough. If we find old rubber or cloth insulation, or patchwork we cannot trace, we recommend a rewire and show you why.
