A router in the front hallway rarely reaches a rumpus room at the back of an interwar house. Homework, video calls and streaming all lean on that connection. We run data cabling to the places that matter most: the study, the living room and the bedrooms where teenagers game. Wired points do not drop out, and they leave Wi-Fi free for phones. We feed cable across the ceiling void and under the floor, so walls stay mostly intact. For TV wall mounting, we match the fixing to the wall, whether that is brick, plasterboard or timber stud. We hide the power and HDMI leads behind the screen, so nothing hangs down. Edwardian houses often still have a single TV point in the lounge, so we add antenna outlets and extra TV points where screens now sit. We label every data outlet at the router end.
