House rewiring in Ormond is worth considering when a Californian bungalow has had several additions and the circuits were never planned together. We assess it, then stage the work around your renovation.
Ormond 3204
When we open the roof of a much-extended Ormond house, we often find wiring from three eras: original cable, a post-war addition and something from the last renovation. It works, mostly, but the layout is confusing and some of the oldest cable is past its safe life. A rewire gives you clean circuits, correct protection and a board that makes sense. We try to leave period features alone, working through roof space and wall cavities to protect plaster, cornices and timber lining. If part of the house was recently wired, we leave that alone and focus on the rest. The best time is before painting or floors are done, so we like to talk to you early in the renovation. We explain what we find before we quote.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main house rewires page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Ormond.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ

Yes. If the newer section is sound and properly protected, we leave it and rewire the older parts. We inspect each section and the board, then explain which areas need work and which can stay.
