House rewiring in Bentleigh is on the table for the original Californian bungalows and weatherboards, particularly before an extension. We inspect first and rewire only what is justified.
Bentleigh 3204
The oldest streets near Centre Road and Jasper Road have houses with original wiring in parts, usually rubber or cloth insulated and decades past its best. Extensions are the natural trigger, since the walls are opened and the board is replaced anyway. We investigate what is in the roof, under the floor and behind the plaster, then explain which circuits are old and which have been renewed. A full rewire in a weatherboard is often easier than in brick, because the lining boards and cavities allow access. We try to protect cornices, ceiling roses and picture rails. New wiring goes with a new board and, if you wish, the circuits for induction and a car charger. We provide a clear scope and tell you which walls will be opened.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main house rewires page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Bentleigh.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
Often, yes. Weatherboard walls usually have accessible cavities and roof or floor voids, which reduces patching. Brick takes more planning. We inspect your house and explain the likely routes before quoting. Either way, we aim to protect cornices and ceiling roses.
