Large Kew houses grow in layers. A Victorian main board, a sub-board added when the kitchen was redone, another beside the garage, and a pool pump wired in later. Now add ducted heating and cooling, garden lighting and an EV charger, and the main board is carrying a mansion's load on a cottage-era design. We start by mapping what feeds what, then replace the old board with a modern one with circuit breakers and safety switches on every circuit. Where it makes sense, we install new sub-boards for studios, garages and pool equipment, so each building has its own protection. Cable runs are long, so we check sizing. Heritage overlays cover many Kew streets, and if the meter box needs to change, we keep it discreet and in keeping with the front of the house.
