Induction cooktop installation

Kitchens in Kew's mansions and villas tend to be large and often renovated with serious joinery. A freestanding gas range might be replaced by an induction cooktop in an island bench, a walk-in pantry and a butler's sink, all in one project. The cooktop's electrical demand is much higher than the old setup, so it gets its own circuit straight off the main board. In a big house, that cable may travel a good distance, and the main board might already be near its limit, which we check before ordering stone. We run cable early, while ceilings and floors are open, and complete the connection after the benchtop is in. The gas line needs capping by a licensed gasfitter. If the kitchen is in an older wing, we also look at the surrounding circuits for age and condition.
