Small and quiet, Kooyong is best known for the tennis club and the stretch of Glenferrie Road near Gardiners Creek. The homes are mostly substantial period houses on wide, established blocks.

This is one of Melbourne's smallest suburbs, and its streets are made up mainly of large detached homes. Many are Federation and Edwardian houses or grand interwar residences, with some newer architect-designed rebuilds. Lots tend to be generous, with long driveways, garages and big gardens. Heritage overlays are common, so we keep visible external work discreet. In these homes the wiring has usually been upgraded at least once, but often only in parts.
