Split system installation in Ashburton can mean a single unit in a unit's living room or a full set across a post-war house, and both need the right circuit.
Ashburton 3147
Post-war brick and weatherboard houses here are often retrofitted with air conditioning one room at a time, while units and townhouses typically want a single system in the main living space. We do the electrical side only: a dedicated circuit, an isolator at the outdoor unit and the final connection. Boards in many older homes are small, so checking spare capacity is the first step. In units, the outdoor unit placement needs body corporate approval, and cable routes may be limited by the building layout. We plan around those limits and keep the visible cable tidy in conduit. Ceiling fan installation works well in bedrooms that get hot, and in rooms where full air conditioning would be too much. We fit fans to a proper brace and add a wall control.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main a/c & ceiling fans page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Ashburton.
Good work. Happy locals.

“Select electrical was recommended by my son. Their quoted price was spot on with no hidden extras. Great job and will use them again”

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
That depends on the building rules and your layout, and the air conditioning installer will advise on placement. On our side, we plan the cable route and isolator position from your board to that spot. We need body corporate approval for external changes, so ask early.
