A family that adds air conditioning, redoes the kitchen and sets up a home office in a post-war house often finds the board is the limit. The original board has few circuits and gives only partial protection, if any. We replace it with a modern board: circuit breakers, safety switches and clear labels. In units, the board may sit in a shared cupboard or near grouped meters, so we work within what the body corporate allows and keep any change to the common area minimal. We check the wiring leaving the board, and tell you what is sound and what is ageing. Townhouses are different: their boards are generally modern, but adding a charger or a second air conditioner may need spare ways, and we can tell you what your board can take.
