Armadale renovations often forget the cabling. Data cabling and a TV mounted neatly on the wall are much easier while the walls are open, and still possible when they are not.

A lovely restored villa can be a poor place for Wi-Fi. Thick masonry, long hallways and the distance between the front rooms and the family room at the back all weaken the signal. A wired data point in the study, the family room and the main bedroom solves most of it. If the renovation is under way, we pull cable through open walls before the plaster goes on. If not, we run cable via the ceiling void and the subfloor. On a TV, we work out where it will sit before drilling, then mount it and hide the leads. Older villas may have just one antenna point, so extra TV points are often worth adding. Kids' bedrooms and home offices at the back of the house make good locations for wired points. We use neutral plates that suit period rooms.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main data & tv page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Armadale.
Good work. Happy locals.

“Select electrical was recommended by my son. Their quoted price was spot on with no hidden extras. Great job and will use them again”

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
Often yes. We feed cable through the ceiling or floor void and into the wall at the outlet position, so the damage is a small hole behind the plate. If the route is blocked, we explain options such as trunking, and agree before we start.
