Induction cooktop installation

Kitchens in 1950s and 1960s houses here are often compact and have cooked on gas for decades. Moving to induction means a new dedicated circuit from the switchboard, and sometimes the original board needs attention first. We measure how far the cooktop sits from the board and plan the cable route across the roof space or beneath the floor. A licensed gasfitter caps the old gas line, so we line up our visit with theirs and the two trades never trip over each other. Your cabinetmaker can then cut the benchtop to the new cooktop's size. In newer townhouses with island benches, the circuit is sometimes already roughed in, and we simply connect and test. Either way, the cooktop is checked and working before we pack up.
