Big post-war blocks are what set Bentleigh East apart, and many are being split into two or three new townhouses. That mix of original homes and fresh builds keeps our work here varied.
Bentleigh East homes
Bentleigh East is largely 1950s and 1960s brick veneer and weatherboard houses on generous blocks, which is why so many have been redeveloped into dual occupancies and townhouses. The original homes usually have modest switchboards, few powerpoints per room and wiring that has been added to over the years by different hands. Owners who are staying put often want the house brought up to date without a full rebuild, so we work room by room. In the new townhouses, the common requests are extra powerpoints, outdoor power for the courtyard and an EV charger in the garage. Where a block has been split, we also make sure each dwelling's supply and metering is clear and sorted.

Usually, yes. Most new townhouses have a garage close to the switchboard, which keeps the cable run short. We check whether the board and supply can handle the extra load, then install a dedicated circuit and charger. If you share a driveway or common property, we can also advise on any owners corporation approval.
