A switchboard upgrade in Bentleigh East often follows a renovation or extension where the original board has run out of room. We replace old fuses with a modern board and safety switches.

Many original homes here still carry the board that went in with the house, patched as owners added rooms, air conditioners and hot water changes. By now the wiring behind it has been added to by several different hands, and the labelling, if there is any, is a guess. Our first job is to trace what sits on each circuit. Then we fit a new board with circuit breakers and RCDs, label everything clearly and test each circuit. When a block has been divided into two dwellings, the supply for each home needs to be separate and easy to follow, so we sort that out as part of the work. If you plan an EV charger or induction cooktop later, we leave spare space on the board so nobody has to reopen the wall.
