Oven installation

Older kitchens here were planned around a freestanding stove, and the wiring behind it may be as old as the house. When you replace it with a wall oven set into joinery, the connection has to move to a spot hidden behind the cabinet. We check the existing oven circuit, and if it is undersized or awkward to reach, we run a new one. A freestanding swap is simpler, though we still look at the cable, the connection point and the isolating switch. Repairs are outside what we do, so a dead oven is one for an appliance technician. In newer townhouses where the oven is already set into the cabinet, we connect it, test it and make sure the circuit sits behind a safety switch.
