A 1960s brick-veneer house in Malvern East usually has one powerpoint per wall and a lot more devices than that. We handle powerpoint installation properly, so the extension leads can go back in the drawer.
Malvern East 3145
Post-war homes around Waverley Road were built when a lamp and a radio were the main load. The wiring behind the plaster is often sound, just short on outlets. Most rooms have a single GPO on the wall, so people run double adaptors along the skirting and wonder why the fuse trips. We add extra powerpoints where you actually put the furniture. That might be a double powerpoint behind the lounge, a USB-C outlet by the bed, or an outdoor powerpoint for the verandah or the back shed. Brick veneer is straightforward to work with, and we aim to leave walls tidy. Before we add anything, we check what the existing circuits are already carrying and whether the board can take more. If it can't, we tell you straight and show you the options, rather than quietly overloading a circuit that was sized for 1962.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main powerpoints page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Malvern East.
Good work. Happy locals.

“Steven provided a good and accurate quote over the phone and the job came in on price. Contacted about arrival time the night before and showed up when expected. The outdoor power point was installed within 20 minutes and the job was finished and cleaned well. Nice to deal with and enjoyed our dog coming by to check out what was going on.”

“Select electrical was recommended by my son. Their quoted price was spot on with no hidden extras. Great job and will use them again”

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
Usually, yes. In brick-veneer homes we can often run cables from above or below and keep wall damage small. We'll look at your layout, show you where new outlets can go, and check the circuit has capacity before we start.
