House rewiring

Brick homes of the 1960s and 1970s were generally built sturdily, and in Doncaster they are often large. The wiring has done a lot of work over the decades, particularly in places that have been extended or altered. We sometimes find old wiring in the roof space with cracked insulation, joints made by earlier owners and circuits that cover too much floor area. A rewire replaces the cable, board and outlets, bringing the house up to current standards. On a large house, the job is staged: you might do the main living areas first and the rest later. Rebuilt two-storey homes have newer wiring in the new part and old wiring in the retained part, and joining them properly matters. We inspect before recommending anything. If a partial rewire is enough, we will say so and plan around what you need.
