Many bungalows here still have original wiring in parts of the house, with later work layered on top. Rubber or cloth insulation does not last forever, and you may notice it as warm switches, flickering or a faint burning smell. Before a renovation is the sensible time to deal with it, since walls and ceilings are going to be opened anyway. We assess which circuits are old and which have been replaced, and we plan a rewire that covers what is needed. Roof space and floor voids are used where possible, so original cornices and ceiling roses stay intact. We pair the rewire with a new board and with the circuits for induction cooking and charging, so everything is installed once.
