Abbotsford homes
Abbotsford's older housing is mostly Victorian workers' cottages and small terraces, many single-fronted, on narrow streets. Former factories and warehouses near the river and along Johnston Street have been turned into apartments, and newer apartment buildings have gone up along the main roads. The result is a real mix: cottages with old wiring and tiny switchboards, converted buildings with high ceilings and exposed services, and apartments with shared car parks and body-corporate rules. Many cottage owners renovate the back of the house and want better lighting and more outlets. Apartment residents are increasingly asking about EV charging in their car parks.
