Before the renovation, the oven sat on the floor and was plugged in wherever suited. After it, there's a built-in wall oven at eye level, and the connection has to be right. A wall oven is typically hardwired to a junction point inside or beside the cabinet, so the cabinet maker needs to know where that connection goes before the joinery is built. Abbotsford's cottage kitchens are small, and there's rarely room to fudge it. We check the oven's rated load against the circuit, test the protection, and make sure the cable is shielded from the heat. A freestanding electric oven in a rental or a converted apartment often just needs a safe, correctly rated outlet, and we'll tell you if the existing one isn't. We install ovens and wire them in. Repairing the appliances themselves isn't something we do.
