Moving from gas to induction is a common step when an Abbotsford cottage kitchen gets redone. Our induction cooktop installation covers the dedicated circuit and the final connection.
Abbotsford 3067
The old cottage kitchen usually sat against a party wall with a gas point behind the cooker. When the kitchen moves into a new extension, there's a good chance the gas line doesn't follow it, which makes the switch to electric easy to justify. An induction cooktop draws a lot of power, so it needs a dedicated circuit from the board, a suitably rated cable and the right breaker. In small cottage boards there's sometimes no spare space, and we'll say so before you order the cooktop. Your cabinet maker gets the cutout size, the clearance underneath and the cable position from us, so everything lines up. A licensed gasfitter takes care of capping the old supply. We handle everything electrical, connect the cooktop, test it and show you the controls. One more thing to check at home: induction only heats pans with magnetic bases.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main induction cooktops page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Abbotsford.
Good work. Happy locals.

“Arrived within 20 minutes of me calling and explaining that half my property's powerpoints were inactive, promptly worked out and explained the issue to me, and had it completely resolved same day. High quality and clean work, could not be happier!”

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
It usually travels from the switchboard through the roof space or subfloor to the cooktop position, on its own circuit. We map the route when we visit, since new walls and cabinetry affect it. Tell us the cooktop model beforehand so we size everything correctly.
