House rewiring in Abbotsford usually means a Victorian cottage with tired wiring and plaster worth saving. We work to leave your cornices and walls as undisturbed as we can.
Abbotsford 3067
A workers' cottage may have been wired once, extended twice and patched a dozen times. Behind the walls, you can find rubber or cloth-insulated cable that has perished, joins hidden in the ceiling and circuits that nobody can trace. The small single-fronted layout helps us: the roof space and subfloor are close, so new cable can often travel above and below instead of through the walls. We lift accessible floorboards, drop cables down the cavities and cut only small access holes. A rewire pairs well with a new switchboard, so the new cable ends in modern protection. If you're about to replaster or renovate the back of the house, the best moment is before the walls close. We'll inspect first and tell you whether you need a full rewire or a targeted upgrade, because not every old cottage needs everything replaced.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main house rewires page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Abbotsford.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
Look at the cable in the roof space or inside the old switchboard. Cloth-covered or crumbling rubber-covered cable points to original wiring. We can inspect it for you and explain what we find, since tracing hidden cable takes experience.
