Bulleen is mostly 1960s and 1970s brick homes on large blocks, many of them double-storey and built for extended families, with some newer townhouses and rebuilds. These homes are well built but often still have their original switchboards and wiring. Large kitchens, sometimes with a second kitchen downstairs or in the garage, put extra load on the board, as do workshops and outdoor entertaining areas. Owners commonly want new ovens, extra power outside and EV chargers in the garage. We check the board first, because older homes here often need an upgrade before new heavy appliances are added.
