Squeezed between Punt Road, Church Street and the river, Cremorne has tiny cottages sitting among tech offices and creative studios. Our work here is as much commercial as residential.
Cremorne homes
Cremorne's housing is mostly small Victorian workers' cottages and terraces on very narrow streets, many single-fronted and close-set. Over the years old factories and warehouses have been converted into offices, studios and apartments, and new mid-rise buildings have gone up. That mix means a residential job can sit next door to a fit-out for a busy office. The cottages often have limited switchboard space and older wiring, while converted buildings can have layered services from several uses. Offices and studios need plenty of outlets, data cabling and good lighting, often on tight timelines. Parking and access are tricky on the narrow streets, so we plan deliveries and work hours with neighbours and building managers in mind.
