A new wall oven in an Armadale renovation needs the right circuit and a tidy connection. We install ovens only, and we do it properly.
Armadale 3143
Federation and Edwardian kitchens were never designed for a double oven, and the wiring often shows it. In a renovated villa, the oven sits in a tall cabinet at the back, with a power connection in a space that may not even exist yet. We prefer to see the joinery plans, so the supply point is behind the right panel. We check the cable, the breaker and the isolating arrangement. If the old oven shared a circuit with powerpoints, we split them. In interwar homes and period flats, the wiring to the kitchen can be hard to trace, so we test and confirm before connecting. Do not push a new oven into a space until the connection is sorted. We test the oven after connecting to confirm the clock, fan and elements all work. If the previous oven is faulty, an appliance technician has to look at it.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main ovens page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Armadale.
Good work. Happy locals.

Often, but it depends on the cabinet and the supply. A wall oven needs a joinery cavity, and the old cooker outlet may need changing. We check the existing wiring and tell you if a new circuit is needed before the cabinetmaker starts.
