Armadale's period homes suit LED downlights in some rooms and not in others. We help you choose where they go, then install the lighting cleanly and test every dimmer.

Front rooms often have decorative plaster, ceiling roses and picture rails worth keeping, so we leave those to be lit by a pendant or wall light and save downlights for the renovated spaces. At the back of a restored villa, an open-plan kitchen and living area usually needs a layered plan: downlights along the bench, a pendant over the island and dimmers on the lot. Before we start downlight installation, we check the roof cavity, as many Armadale ceilings hold insulation and old cable that need care. LED fittings must be rated for use near insulation, and we choose accordingly. In the garden, which often shows off a restoration, garden lighting along a path or on a feature tree adds a lot. Heritage overlays limit visible changes at the front, so we place any exterior fittings with care. We test dimmers with your LEDs before we hand over.
