Induction cooktop installation

Plenty of terraces here have had a kitchen extension out the back, and the new kitchen is where induction makes sense. The cooktop gets a dedicated circuit, and the board at the front door needs to cope. We test whether it can. If the extension was wired off an old circuit, we sort that so the cooktop does not share a cable with other loads. Cable routes through shared walls are limited, so we use the roof space and subfloor to reach the new kitchen. Where gas is being removed, a licensed gasfitter caps the supply and we line up the work. Many kitchens in double-fronted cottages also have limited bench space, and an induction surface frees up room. Our part is the cooktop and its circuit. If an appliance needs repair, an appliance technician is the right call.
