Induction cooktop installation
in Hawthorn.

Many Hawthorn kitchens were last redone when a gas hob and a wall oven felt modern. Owners renovating those rooms now ask about going from gas to induction. The cooktop itself is simple. The supply is the hard part. Induction needs a dedicated circuit, and in houses with old ceramic fuse boards there may be nothing spare to feed it. We check the board, run a correctly sized cable and fit the cooktop once the benchtop is ready. In apartments, the cable route matters more. Shared risers and limited ceiling or wall voids can restrict where new cabling goes, and the body corporate may need to approve changes. We plan around that. A licensed gasfitter will need to cap the old gas line, and we can coordinate timing with them so your kitchen is not left half done. We test the cooktop and show you the controls.

What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main induction cooktops page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Hawthorn.
