A kitchen renovation in an older Hawthorn East house usually starts with the layout: an island, a butler's pantry, a gas hob removed. Then the cooktop question lands on our desk. Induction needs far more power than the old circuit supplied, so we run a dedicated cable from the board, sized for your chosen model. The original board, laid out for a few lights and a handful of powerpoints, often needs room made. We do that first. We time the work with your kitchen schedule: cabling goes in early, and the final connection happens after the benchtop is cut and fitted. Walk-up flats with grouped meters have limited spare capacity per unit, so induction there takes more planning, and we tell you straight if it will not fit. A gasfitter caps the old line.
