Ovens in older extended houses are often on circuits that predate the extension. The cable might run from the old kitchen, through the roof, to a board that has had several rounds of changes. We trace it before the new oven goes in, because a wall oven in new cabinetry needs the connection in a position that works. In flats, the stove circuit may be old and light, and the oven you are fitting could need more. We check the breaker, the cable size and the connection, and fix what is not right. If you are also moving to induction, we deal with both circuits together, which saves a second visit. We install ovens only, and leave repairs to the manufacturer. Before we go, we test it and mark the circuit at the board.
