Ovens in Moorabbin's 1960s kitchens have often been replaced once and left on the original wiring. When we install a wall oven, we check it ends up on a circuit that suits the model's rating. Freestanding ovens are more forgiving, though they still need a safe isolating switch. If you are moving an oven during a renovation, we run a fresh cable instead of extending the old one. We also look at ventilation clearances around wall ovens, since tight cabinetry can cause trouble. If you are also running a small catering business from home, tell us, because commercial-grade equipment needs more than a standard circuit. We do not repair ovens.
