A new oven needs the right circuit behind it, and old cottages often lack one. Our oven installation in South Melbourne connects wall and freestanding ovens safely.
South Melbourne 3205
Replacing an oven sounds simple until the old one slides out and the wiring behind it is a surprise. In many South Melbourne cottages and terraces the oven was added decades ago and shares a circuit with other things. So we look at the cable, the connection and the protection on that circuit before we fit anything new. A wall oven built into joinery needs the cabling to land in the right spot. A freestanding oven connects through a wall plate or a dedicated outlet. Where an oven replaces a gas one, a fresh oven circuit may be needed from the board. We take care around benchtops and cabinetry, because period kitchens often have joinery that is hard to replace. Once it is connected, we test it and show you where the switch is. Repairs are not part of our work, so faults go back to the maker or an appliance repairer. Oven installation in South Melbourne is simple once the circuit is sound.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main ovens page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician South Melbourne.
Good work. Happy locals.

“Arrived within 20 minutes of me calling and explaining that half my property's powerpoints were inactive, promptly worked out and explained the issue to me, and had it completely resolved same day. High quality and clean work, could not be happier!”

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
Often it does. A wall oven needs a connection inside or beside the joinery, while a freestanding oven connects at a wall plate. We see what is already there and tell you if a new oven circuit is needed.
