A period cottage by Burnley Park looks lovely and offers very few places to plug anything in. We handle powerpoint installation that stays discreet and suits the house.
Burnley 3121
Burnley's cottages and terraces were built for oil lamps and later fitted with a handful of outlets. A renovated kitchen at the back might be well served, while the front rooms still have a single GPO each. Owners here care about the period look, so we choose positions behind furniture, inside joinery and low along skirting boards. When the walls are lath and plaster, we try to run cable through the roof space and under the floor, and keep chasing to a minimum. Rear extensions are the usual place for extra powerpoints, along with an outdoor powerpoint for the courtyard or a shed. Where original wiring is still in the walls, we check that it's safe to extend before adding more outlets to it. A double powerpoint on a worn old circuit isn't an upgrade.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main powerpoints page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Burnley.
Good work. Happy locals.

“Select electrical was recommended by my son. Their quoted price was spot on with no hidden extras. Great job and will use them again”

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
We keep damage low by bringing cable in from the ceiling void or subfloor and dropping into the wall behind the outlet. Some patching is unavoidable, but it's small. We'll show you the likely routes first.
