Original ceiling roses and narrow hallways make lighting choices tricky in Burnley. We handle lighting installation that respects the period features and still brightens the rooms.

Compact lots and cottage layouts mean dark rooms in the middle of the house. A few LED downlights can help, but in a Victorian ceiling they need care. Roof access is often limited, and some ceilings are lined with old timber or plaster that doesn't forgive a wrong cut. Where downlights aren't suitable, we look at pendants, wall lights and picture lights that add warmth without cutting into the ceiling. Dimmers are useful in living rooms and bedrooms, and we can often reuse existing switch positions. Kitchens that were updated before the electrical caught up sometimes have a single central light, and we can add task lighting under cabinets. Along the garden and the lane at the back, small low-glare fittings make steps safer without drawing attention.
