Ask anyone in a 1950s Burwood weatherboard how many powerpoints they have per room, and the answer is usually one. That single outlet ends up feeding a lamp, a phone charger and a heater through a power board. We add a double powerpoint in the spots where it counts, such as beside the bed, at the study desk and along the kitchen bench. For landlords, tidy and compliant matters, so we use quality fittings and test every circuit afterwards. Student households near Deakin tend to run laptops, monitors and kettles all at once, which makes spare circuits a smarter fix than another power board. In the newer townhouses, the gap is usually outdoors or in the garage, where we can fit a weatherproof powerpoint. If a circuit is already heavily loaded, we say so before adding to it.

Often yes. We can extend from an existing circuit, or add a new one from the board if capacity allows, using the roof space or floor void. We check the wiring first. If it is too old to extend safely, we will say so in writing.
