Ashwood's post-war homes were planned around a lounge, three bedrooms and not much else. Convert the back room or garage into an office and you quickly run out of power. Instead of a power board daisy-chained under the desk, we install a row of GPOs at bench height, with a double powerpoint and a USB-C outlet for the laptop and phone. We also look at the rest of the house. Bedrooms often have a single outlet behind the bed, and the kitchen may have too few for a modern bench of appliances. Townhouses on the subdivided blocks usually have enough outlets for the floor plan but not for how people actually live. A garage powerpoint for tools or a freezer is a common request, and an outdoor powerpoint near the patio makes summer evenings easier. We plan the positions with you first.
