Switchboard upgrades

Balwyn North's brick homes were largely built in the post-war decades, and many still run on their first board or a partial upgrade: a few circuits, fuses or old breakers, and safety switches on only some circuits. That was fine when the load was a fridge and a few lights. Today it is split systems in each bedroom, a pool pump, heating and a car charger. We replace the lot with a modern board, with circuit breakers and RCDs across the circuits that need them. We also test the wiring that stays and check that the supply into the house is up to it. Spare ways go in for what you add later. If you plan an extension or a knockdown rebuild, say so, and we can tell you whether a board upgrade now is worth it or whether the builder's electrician will handle it.
