We handle the electrical side of air conditioning: the circuit, the isolator and the final connection. Your air conditioning installer handles the refrigerant and mounting. In a Canterbury home with high ceilings, the outdoor unit may sit a long way from the board, so the cable route needs real thought. Weatherboard and brick walls need different approaches, and heritage overlays mean we keep the outdoor isolator away from the street-facing side where we can. Ceiling fan installation is another common request here, since tall ceilings make fans effective but demand a proper fixing and a longer downrod. We check that the ceiling can carry the fan, wire it in and fit a wall control. Pressed metal ceilings are not always happy about fan mounting, so we look at what is above before agreeing on a location. If your board is old, we will say so before adding another big load.
