Oven installation in Canterbury covers everything from a wall oven built into new joinery to a freestanding oven replacing the old one in a period kitchen.
Canterbury 3126
Period kitchens in Canterbury have usually been changed at least once, and what is on the wall behind the oven can surprise people. We often find an oven circuit that was sized for an older, smaller appliance, or a connection that was never meant to last. A new oven needs the right cable, a suitable circuit breaker and a safe connection point. For a wall oven, we also check that the cabinet has room for the supply to reach. A freestanding oven needs a neat termination close enough to the appliance without being hidden behind it. We install ovens, but we do not repair them, so if yours has simply stopped heating, the manufacturer or an appliance technician is the right call. Once the new one is in, we test it under load, show you the breaker and leave the area tidy so the kitchen is ready to use.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main ovens page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Canterbury.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ

Sometimes, but not always. The old circuit has to suit the new oven's rating and the cable has to be in good condition. We check the circuit, the breaker and the cable before deciding. If it is not up to it, we can add a new run rather than force it.
