Split system installation in Deepdene works well in brick bungalows and Edwardian rooms, as long as the circuit and board behind the new unit are up to the job.

Californian bungalows and Edwardian houses tend to be cold in winter and stuffy in summer, and a split system is a popular answer. We handle the electrical side, from the dedicated circuit to the isolator and final connection. The air conditioning installer does the mounting and refrigerant work. Because many homes here still run on old fuse boards, we check the board before adding any big load. A split system on a board with porcelain fuses and no safety switches is a good reason to upgrade first. In pitched-roof houses we can use the roof space for neat cable runs. Ceiling fan installation also suits high bungalow ceilings, and we check the ceiling structure for a solid fixing. Outdoor units are placed away from the front of the house where we can, to suit the streetscape.

Often yes. A split system adds a significant load and needs its own circuit with proper protection. An old fuse board may not have spare capacity or safety switches. We check it first and recommend an upgrade where needed. Where the board is sound, we simply add the circuit.
