Induction Cooktops for
Canterbury homes.

When a Canterbury kitchen moves into a new extension, the old gas run behind the original kitchen is often left behind. Moving to induction is a neat way to keep gas out of the new space. The catch is power. An induction cooktop needs its own dedicated circuit, and the cable has to come back to a board that may be decades old. We check the board first and add a properly rated circuit. The old gas line needs a licensed gasfitter to disconnect it, and we are happy to work alongside yours. Then we connect the cooktop and test every zone. If a stone benchtop is already cut, we compare the cooktop's dimensions with the cutout before connecting, and we do not rush that part. If you are planning a renovation, tell us early so the circuit can go in before the walls are lined.

FAQ

Induction Cooktops in Canterbury: FAQs

Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.

Can you put an induction cooktop in an island bench in a new extension?

Yes, as long as we can get a dedicated circuit to the island. That usually means running cable through the floor cavity or slab before the bench goes in, so timing matters. Talk to us while the kitchen is still being planned and we will work out the cable route with your builder.
