Coastal summers in Sandringham make a split system worthwhile, and we do the electrical side. Ceiling fan installation is a good partner, especially under high Edwardian ceilings.
Sandringham 3191
Edwardian rooms are tall and hard to cool, which is why so many Sandringham owners add a split system to the main living area. We handle the electrical work for a split system installation: a circuit from the board, an outdoor isolator within reach, and the connection at both ends. The refrigeration side is for your air conditioning installer, and we coordinate so the visit runs smoothly for everyone. In older houses, the usual hurdle is the board, which may not have a spare way or any safety switch. Ceiling fans work well here too, since high ceilings need a longer rod, and we check the fixing points in the roof before hanging one. Take care in clifftop homes, where the outdoor unit may need extra protection from wind.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main a/c & ceiling fans page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Sandringham.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
Yes. A high Edwardian ceiling usually needs a longer down-rod so the blades sit at a sensible height. We also check what supports the fan in the roof, because old rafters may need a brace. Then we wire it to a suitable switch or controller.
