Renovating a Hampton cottage kitchen usually means opening up the space and updating the appliances. If the old kitchen has a gas cooktop, many owners switch to induction at this point. That needs a circuit of its own, so we check the board first. In older cottages that board may be on ceramic fuses, and we recommend an upgrade before adding a big new load. Timber floors and roof space make cable routes straightforward. A licensed gasfitter handles capping the gas, and we work alongside them and the cabinetmaker. In the newer homes, the circuit is often already in place, and we connect and test. When we leave, the cooktop is working and you know where its isolating switch is.
